Another day, another “Man of Steel” TV spot. Exactly one month from now, we will all get to see whether or not Zack Snyder has successfully breathed new life into the franchise. Until then, we will continue to get inundated with TV spots, posters, and clips of Hans Zimmer’s score. So, the question remains, are you excited yet? No? Well, maybe this TV spot will hit your sweet spot.
The promo features Jor-El (Russell Crowe), Superman’s biological father, talking to his son about the great amount of power and strength that he has. We get quick glimpses of Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and General Zod (Michael Shannon), before Jor-El assures his son: “You can save them. You can save all of them.” Wow. Will he save all of them? From the looks of it, he just might.
They have managed to do a pretty good job of showing us some of the pizzazz without giving too much away. Hopefully, “Man of Steel” will live up to its promise. Be sure to watch the clip below and while you’re at it, check out the full tune “DNA,” from the Zimmer’s composed soundtrack. “Man of Steel” will be in a theater near you on June 14th.
