While the movie world will be consumed with Oscar talk in January, on the small screen the conversation will turn to Lena Dunham and "Girls." Her hit show returns to HBO for a second season less than a year after the first made some major waves, and earned a small bit of controversy too. And that likely won't end with round two.
This new trailer is another peek into the second season that sees Hannah once again trying to figure out love and life, while the rest of the gang — Marnie, Jessa, Shoshanna — also deal with the changes in their lives as well. So far, it looks like "Girls" is modestly building on the foundation set with season one, without losing what made it so charming in the first place. Meanwhile, a new featurette rounds up the dudes including Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky, to tease where there characters go next. And it seems Charlie will be still be hanging around, perhaps winning Marnie back?
Find out on January 13th. Watch below.
I love "Tiny Furniture" and I have probably watched it a dozen times. But I couldn't get past episode 2 of "Girls". The effortless and offhanded, quirky character of "Tiny Furniture" just feels so labored and forced on "Girls." Perhaps its the shooting schedule.
I really love these looks at the new season; the interview with the men of Girls is especially interesting. Though they donât get as much focus on the show, their actions affect the girls in monumental ways. A coworker at DISH and I have been discussing Adam and Hannah since the first season ended. It will be interesting to see how that develops throughout the season, and to find out more about the murder accusations. This show really grew on me throughout the first season, so I will definitely be setting my DISH Hopper to record the second. It helps that I can set it to automatically record entire seasons of my favorite shows automatically, putting the 2,000 hours of recording space to good use. Itâs interesting to see how the lives of all of these characters interweave. I am excited to see more of that interaction in the second season, it seems like it will be as great as the first.
It would be hilarious if they just released trailers for this season instead of actual episodes.
I love this show.
I'll take this over Sex and the City any day of the week!

How much is The Playlist being paid to force Girls down our throats?
everything about this show looks like it reeks of b.o.
