Where and how does one even begin to encapsulate the massive career of Steven Spielberg? He’s pretty much done everything you can imagine, from summer blockbusters, to harrowing dramas, to sci-fi journeys, to family entertainment, to historically based tales. So trying to summarize his filmography in a supercut will require a bit more than the few minutes usually granted to the format, and indeed, someone has decided that nearly a full hour is needed.
The numerically named 0221458715 put together a 50-minute-long celebration of Spielberg’s feature works. Starting with "Amblin" and ending with the director’s recent "Lincoln," each entry gets a generous handful of time on its own, which goes a long way in emphasizing the diversity of the filmmaker’s palette. And fans of Spielberg will have more treats coming to them this fall.
Universal Pictures will be releasing a Blu-ray box of his films that will include "Duel" and "The Sugarland Express" (both in high-def for the first time) along with "Jaws," "E.T.," "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." Basically, the movies Spielberg made at the studio. It’ll hit shelves on October 13th. Until then, watch below.
