The tortuous making of Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s "The Revenant" involved a production that battled the elements, delays, raw animal organs, and shooting on locations that were unforgiving at best and brutal at worst. Basically, it’s the kind of thing worthy of its own movie. And now, it has one.

20th Century Fox released "A World Unseen," a 44-minute documentary look at this year’s leading Oscar contender. Featuring lots of footage and behind-the-scenes material, the doc dives into the many aspects of the production and the themes of the film. And, admirably, it also celebrates the indigenous people they encountered in the making of the movie, and raises the alarm about how corporate greed and climate change are wreaking environmental havoc with some of the very locations the filmmakers used.
