In 1993’s “The Fugitive,” Tommy Lee Jones‘ Samuel Gerard had to go on a hard target search to find Dr. Richard Kimble, and now 20 years later, the actor is still chasing lawbreakers. Kinda. In “The Family,” he knows exactly where gangster Giovanni Manzoni is, the challenge is keeping him hidden.
Co-starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Dianna Agron, Luc Besson‘s latest offering “The Family” finds the funny and explosive side of being in the witness protection program. The story follows the Manzoni family, who are sent to Normandy, France under the witness protection program after the patriarch testifies against his former clan. But old habits die hard and soon even Agron is beating up French dudes who don’t know the meaning of personal space. The comedy is a bit obvious, but we will admit that watching Jones and De Niro glower at each other is somewhat amusing.
“The Family” arrives on September 13th. Check out three clips below along with some new pics.
