Watch: 3 Clips From ‘Jupiter Ascending’ Plus 100-Minute Interview With Directors Andy And Lana Wachowski

Jupiter Ascending"The idea of one director, one vision is absolute rubbish," Andy Wachowski says in an extensive 100-minute chat alongside Lana Wachowski as part of the DePaul Visiting Artists Series in 2013 (via Slashfilm). It’s a wide-ranging conversation conducted just as the directors had finished shooting "Jupiter Ascending," covering much of their career (including an anecdote about meeting Steven Spielberg before the two shot their debut feature "Bound"). But it’s interesting cheifly for the visually distinctive filmmakers to note their process is one of collaboration, and in terms of actors, "Jupiter Ascending" had one standout who is neither the leads Channing Tatum or Mila Kunis.

According to Lana, it’s Tuppence Middleton she credits as an "amazing actress" with "incredible range," noting that she provided so many variations that they could’ve shaped her character in any number of ways. What exactly comprises her turn in the upcoming "Jupiter Ascending" isn’t quite clear, and these three new clips from the film won’t help as such. The clips don’t have much in the way of dialogue (unless you count Tatum grunting), and apparently a cornfield sequence is worth excerpting twice. Each are probably small flavors with more to come soon as the movie arrives in just a few weeks.

"Jupiter Ascending" opens on February 6th. Watch the clips and talk below.
