It's all come down to "Django Unchained." With "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" premiering tonight in New Zealand, Quentin Tarantino's highly anticipated slavery/vengeance flick remains the last movie to be seen by awards voter types and critics in general, and with 'Django' now less than a month away, The Weinstein Company are picking up the pace, even if the details about the movie remain a bit in the dark.
Two brand new TV spots have dropped to help spread the word both at home and abroad. Nothing particularly revelatory here, with both spots striking the same tone and tenor the marketing for the picture has done since day one. Meanwhile in the UK, Empire has unleashed their 'Django' issue with a couple of snappy covers. While the articles within have yet to make their way to the interwebs, they do offer up a promise from Tarantino that this is not an "eat-your-mushy-peas issue movie." We weren't too worried about that happening.
