While he's taken a stride into more dramatic fare with "Cyrus" and "Moneyball," make no mistake, Jonah Hill isn't leaving the funny stuff behind. He's currently voicing the Fox animated show "Allen Gregory," he's got the action comedy "21 Jump Street" hitting next spring and next month he'll lead a bunch of kids on a night they'll never forget in "The Sitter."
Directed by David Gordon Green, the film centers on a college student who ends up on a wild night after agreeing to babysit the three kids next door. Hill is supported by a pretty solid cast that includes Max Records ("Where The Wild Things Are") as the eldest, neurotic kid; Kevin Hernandez and Landry Bender playing the other two kids under Hill's care; J.B. Smoove and Sam Rockwell as two drug dealers tracking down Hill after he loses their cocaine; and Ari Graynor as the girlfriend. And while it's not a return to "George Washington" territory that longtime Green fans/purists are hoping for, if it's even in the vein of "The Pineapple Express" we'll be down, and these two clips that have premiered over at MTV give a taste of what's in store.
"The Sitter" will be available for hire on December 9th.
