Watch: 2 Clips And TV Spot From ‘Jurassic World’ Deal With A Deadly Dinosaur

Jurassic WorldWhether Colin Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World” lives up to the legacy of Steven Spielberg’s much loved "Jurassic Park" or not, the reboot will still be earning quite a bit of cash from mainstream audiences eager to once again believe that dinosaurs can be brought back to extinction and promptly turn on their resurrectors. Plus, a little Chris Pratt never hurt anybody. However, even with a logline that sells itself–dinosaurs go on rampage in a fancy theme park due to hubris of owners and management–the studio still has to make room for some marketing and so here we are with a pair of clips from the film and yet another TV spot.

First up, from JoBlo, is a clip just over 30 seconds long that introduces the big bad of the new film in classic Spielbergian fashion: showing very little. So yes, this is technically the introduction of the infamous Indominus Rex, but Trevorrow hides the genetically-engineered monster behind foliage, focusing instead on the performances of actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Irrfan Khan. Next up is a clip via ComicBookMovie that gives us the required control room scene when things begin going wrong. We get a look at what the comic relief will be like in the finished film with “Safety Not Guranteed” star Jake Johnson appearing to take on the Samuel L. Jackson role from “Jurassic Park,” complete with glasses and mustache.

Finally, a brand new TV spot borrows a trick from the marketing for horror films by endlessly repeating an innocuous phrase as the sound deteriorates into something “chilling.” Watch the spot below, along with the two clips from the film.

Check into “Jurassic World” when it opens to the public on June 12th.
