Got a Tip?

Washington Says She’s A Killer: Intense New Trailer For ‘Zero Dark Thirty’

nullTaking the New York Film Critics Circle, The National Board Of Review, and appearing on (mostly at the top of) countless best of the year lists, Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty" is an Oscar player, that much can be sure. But will audiences be ready to hand over $12 for a dramatic retelling of the search, hunt, and killing of Osama Bin Laden? If early reviews are anything to by, yes indeed.

We called it an "intelligent, composed and determined brand of filmmaking" and this new trailer lifts the curtain and shows the biggest slice of the picture yet. Jessica Chastain's Maya takes center stage, the dogged agent who impresses the boys club with her intelligence and determination. Surrounding Chastain is a staggering array of talent all looking in sharp form including Mark Strong, James Gandolfini, Kyle Chandler, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt and more.

And the marketing is savvy. Aiming for the same audience that helped push "The Social Network" to nearly $100 million domestic, the trailer re-ups Scala & Kolacny Brothers, but instead of "Creep," they deliver a choral version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters."

"Zero Dark Thirty" gets unclassified on December 19th in limited release and on January 11th everywhere. Watch below.
