Director/actor/musician/sperm donor Vincent Gallo will be joining Michael Madsen in the indie drama “Loosies.”
Written and also starring Peter Facinelli (“Twilight” franchise, “Nurse Jackie”) the film will follow “a New York City pickpocket who is confronted by a pregnant woman with whom he had a one-night stand.” No word yet on what roles Gallo and Madsen would be taking on. The film will be directed by Michael Corrente (“Brooklyn Rules,” “American Buffalo”) and will shoot next month.
The pairing should be an intriguing one if only because Gallo and Madsen are two of the loosest cannons out there. As you might recall, Gallo also has a film he’s directed in his pocket, “Promises Written In Water” which he may or may not have taken over in a coup of the production. No word on when we might see it, but Venice and TIFF are coming up so hopefully it will unspool there. And in case you missed it, Gallo recently gave an instantly legendary interview in which he unloads against Sofia Coppola, Francis Ford Coppola, Spike Jonze, Abel Ferrara, Steven Soderbergh, Kirsten Dunst and Wes Anderson. Joe Carnahan has got nothing on him.
I still can't understand how Gallo could rail on Coppola like that in an interview, I believe, recorded pre-"Tetro" and then collaborate with the man who he called a fat pig on Coppola's semi-autobiographical film…
yea, that gallo interview was not recent at all. it was late 90's early 00's I believe, way before Tetro.
if it's the Hikari Takano interview that was 2003ish methinks. and lets not forget this gem:

Is anyone else amazed Gallo is almost 50? hope yet for us all…
