Apple TV+‘s “Ted Lasso” wraps after Season 3, but one of its stars, Juno Temple, isn’t fazed by an excellent thing coming to an end. Instead, Temple’s Emmy and SAG-nominated performance on the show has helped her rack up a couple of intriguing upcoming projects. First up, she’ll star in the next season of Noah Harley‘s “Fargo,” but Deadline the scoop on another.
It turns out Temple has a lead role opposite Tom Hardy in the upcoming “Venom 3.” Plot details and who the actress plays in the film remain unknown, but Hardy and Kelly Marcel co-pen the script. Marcel also takes over directing duties for her feature debut after Andy Serkis directed “Venom: Let There Be Carnage.” What else do we know about “Venom 3” right now? Only that Hardy and Marcel, too, co-produce, with Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker also part of that team. The third film will also purportedly be the last in the series.
While Sony‘s franchise hasn’t received the highest marks from critics, audiences love the “Venom” movies and their shaggier take on the superhero movie—the first two films combined for $1.36 billion at the global box office. “Venom 3” will be Temple’s first film since 2021’s “Palmer” with Justin Timberlake, but she’s been busy with “Ted Lasso.” Other recent TV credits for Temple include Paramount+‘s “The Offer” and Apple TV+’s “Mr. Corman.”
No word on if anyone from the previous “Venom” movies returns for the third, but expect more details on “Venom 3” as it gets closer to production.
