When British comics Simon Pegg and Nick Frost join forces, you know it’s going to be good. The duo is teaming up for supernatural- comedy series “Truth Seekers,” and the new trailer is out now.

The new offering from Amazon centers on a team of part-time ghost hunters who team up to uncover paranormal sightings and encounters across the U.K. They stake out nearly every location imaginable and their supernatural experiences become more frequent and deadly. Their experiences lead them to a conspiracy that could bring about a worldwide apocalypse.

Frost and Pegg have famously worked together on a number of genre comedy films, including the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which consists of “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz” and “The World’s End.” Each of those movies encapsulates elements of Pegg and Frost’s now-signature style of off-beat humor with a dash of horror/supernatural. It seems as if “Truth Seekers” will fit right in with the style of their previous projects.

Samson Kayo (“Timewasters”), Hiten Patel (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”) join Pegg and Frost in “Truth Seekers.” Here’s the official synopsis for “The Truth Seekers:”
“Truth Seekers” follows a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see.
However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.
“The Truth Seekers” is set to drop all eight of its episodes on Amazon later this year, with a more concrete premiere date yet to be announced. Take a look at the new trailer now.
