Last night, the second season of “True Detective” came to a close, revealing the tragedy of not getting good cell service in the deep woods. Okay, all kidding aside, “Omega Station” was essentially ninety minutes that underscored what worked and what didn’t with the second season.
And so, fresh from watching the finale, Brad Brevet from Rope Of Silicon and I got on the phone and broke down the episode and the season as a whole. While we might be down on this season overall, there are some things we appreciated, and some changes we’d like to see for the third season if and when it should happen. yes, he put the diamonds in the jacket pocket. are people really questioning that? however, it\’s pride that killed him. he wasn\’t going to hand over his money to anyone.
I haven\’t rewatched the episode, but I\’ve read multiple times online that Frank didn\’t give up the suit because he had the diamonds in it?! I don\’t know, that\’s the only plausible explanation to me, because he would never die because of a SUIT. At least I hope not.
