“Eric Larue”
Adapted from Brett Neveu’s 2002 play, which premiered at Michael Shannon’s Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, “Eric Larue” was written in response to Columbine. “Eric Larue” tells the story of Janice, a mother coping with her son murdering three of his classmates. Unfortunately, 21 years later, the conversation is just as prevalent as Shannon steps behind the camera to bring the story from the stage to the screen. The film stars Judy Greer, Alexander Skarsgård, and Alison Pill.

“First Time Female Director”
Sam, a playwright working for a theater in Glendale, finds herself thrust into the directorial position when the theater’s director is fired for inappropriate behavior. While she wants to stage her dream production, Sam finds that being a director is more challenging than she thought. Sam is played by Chelsea Peretti, who also wears the hats of writer, producer, and director. Amy Poehler, Megan Mullally, Blake Anderson, Megan Stalter, and Kate Berlant all star alongside Peretti in her directorial debut.

“Blood For Dust”
Rob Blackhurst, winner of the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016, is back with an action thriller starring Scoot McNairy, Kit Harington, and Josh Lucas. “Blood for Dust,” tells the story of Cliff, a salesman who lost his job and finds himself in business with an old colleague, not realizing that he was going to be running drugs and guns across state lines for the Cartel. On what should have been an easy assignment, Cliff gets thrown into a fight for survival.

“The Miracle Club”
A heartwarming story of friendship and love, “The Miracle Club” follows Lily, Eileen, and Dolly. The three are best friends who win a trip from Dublin, Ireland, to Lourdes, France, to help the sick and disabled who make the pilgrimage to Lourdes. When the three are joined by another woman, old wounds are opened, and they are forced to confront their pasts. The film stars Maggie Smith, Laura Linney, and Kathy Bates and is directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan.
“The Good Half”
Renn has spent years avoiding his high-strung sister, bumbling father, and untrustworthy stepfather, but when his mother dies, he must return to his hometown. While at home, he meets an energetic stranger who helps him realize he can’t avoid conflict forever. The film stars Nick Jonas, Brittany Snow, Matt Walsh, Alexandra Shipp, and David Arquette. The dramedy is directed by Robert Schwartzman.
