While Christopher Nolan has never had a problem rounding up top rate actors to appear in his films, he’s also always been up for throwing a curveball every now and again. Think Eric Roberts in “The Dark Knight” or Tom Berenger In “Inception.” And it looks the filmmaker has another trick up his sleeve and may be a closet fan of “That ’70s Show.”
Deadline reports that Topher Grace has boarded the cast “Interstellar.” Yes, Eric Forman will now rub shoulders with Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, “Twilight” actress Mackenzie Foy, and “Homeland” actor Timothee Chalamet. Of course, don’t ask what his role will be because as per usual Nolan is keeping all details locked in a vault deep in the Earth’s core. But what we do know is that the movie will involve time travel and wormholes.
Filming gets underway this fall and you’ll get what where Topher Grace fits in all of this on November 7, 2014. Guess we shouldn’t have written that guy off….
By far the worst element of Traffic was Topher Grace 🙁
Good for Topher. Goodness, this is an excellent cast. Assembled by such a fantastic and unique filmmaker. Cant wait.
And just when I thought the cast couldn't get any whiter… ha cha cha
I can't believe fuckers fall for Nolan's contrived bullshit. Time, Dreams, Magic. It's all smoke and mirrors. Nolan just takes something mysterious and cool gives it no substance and makes it feel epic. After Intersteller he'll make some movie about Acid with Michael Caine with 0 content and everyone'll hail it as brilliant. A charlatan fit to be a character in his own movie, The Prestige.
I'm a big Nolan fan, but I must admit, that's a pretty white cast.
C. Nolan should make a film with protagonist absolute, the great and legendary actor (but also incredibly underrated) Tom Berenger. Tom Berenger is the best actor in the world with Al Pacino.
Stoked.
He probably plays Tars, the robot. At least, he was a robot in Jonathan Nolan's draft. That may have changed.
Is this set in a future where people of color don't exist?
