With the expectation and presumption that cranky Daniel Craig is leaving his post as 007 following "Spectre," the chatter about who should be the next James Bond (Idris Elba! Tom Hardy!) has been buzzing on and off for the past few months. And one name that has been brought up is Tom Hiddleston, who already has a good taste of the franchise world with his turn as Loki in the Marvel films. But talking with Happy Sad Confused, he makes it clear that nothing official has happened in regard to his taking the iconic role.
Basically, if you want to see Hiddleston get his spy game on, watch "The Night Manager."
Meanwhile, MGM recently got on the horn for an investors conference call, and when asked if the 007 series would ramp up to join "Star Wars," Marvel and DC in their ambitious slate of films, which sees a new production coming on pace of every two years or less, the answer was clear.
"Bond is the most valuable property that we have, and it’s been on a cycle of every three-to-four years, and I anticipate it will be on that same three-to-four year cycle," an executive said. And really, why mess with a successful template?
Listen to the full chat with Hiddleston below, preceded by a talk with his "I Saw The Light" co-star Elizabeth Olsen.
Without the action of his protagonists the people were killed anyway by all kinds of construction projects. Together with the literally bloodthirsty behavior of the natives and their capacity as movie monsters, the film can (therefore) not exactly be considered a passionate plea for the respect and protection of indigenous peoples cartoonenter.blogspot.in
He is not a Bond in an old school way but there in no need for the same type of Bond. there is a need for super intelligent Bond that uses his mind and hi-tech stuff more that he uses his muscles. And of course he needs an equal female partner who saves his a$ not only a one time. That\’s Bond I would love to see no matter if Hiddle will play him or not.
F@ck no to Tom Hiddleston! He\’s an awful choice; not masculine at all, completely asexual, not too mention too young. Bond is charismatic and commanding MAN, not some asexual nerdy boy with a stupid shy smile. Either bring Craig for a 5th film or let\’s get going with Idris Elba.
Of course I\’m all for for a woman (Gillian Anderson) as Bond, but the men behind the it are even more sexist than they are racist, so I\’m not even gonna entertain the idea.
I demand Richard Armitage. Guy has the right face for the role and I think he would suit Bond well. Maybe try to harken back to the classics as oppose to explosions and loud noises that was the last movie.
There have been almost 25 Bond films. Do we really need more? Time to put that character in the retirement home.
It\’s either Idris Elba or I won\’t watch another bond film ever.
