Got a Tip?

Tom Hardy’s Fiancée Nabs Co-Starring Role In Doug Liman’s ‘All You Need Is Kill’ With Tom Cruise

nullSorry ladies, Tom Hardy is taken and her name is Charlotte Riley. The Brit actress met the actor on the set of the TV series "The Take" and the next thing you knew they were falling in love and cast together as Heathcliff and Catherine in "Wuthering Heights." And while Hardy has since seen his star shoot into the stratosphere, his fiancée hasn't quite had the same trajectory. But her next gig should see her profile take a considerable boost.

Variety reports that the actress has nabbed the co-starring role in the upcoming sci-fi flick, "All You Need Is Kill," alongside Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Not bad…not bad at all. Set to be directed by Doug Liman, this long-brewing project is an adaptation of the Hiroshi Sakurazaka novel that follows a soldier in an alien war who finds himself living his last day in battle over and over again after being caught in a time loop, becoming a better soldier along the way. And she won't just be attractive wallpaper either, as she'll team with Blunt to play soldiers who fight alongside Cruise.

It's certainly a nice bump for Riley who at one time was considered for Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises." And while obviously that went to Anne Hathaway, this is a pretty good gig all its own and a nice way to make a footprint in Hollywood. Production will get underway this fall, but get a sneak peek of Riley's work below, as she shares a smoldering scene with Hardy in "Wuthering Heights."

  1. She's also co-starring in Entity (British Indie Horror) – not sure when it's due out but the trailer is here: http://www.entitythemovie.com/ – incredible work there.

  2. I know they first met eachother on the set of Wuthering Heights and Tom told in an interview he was very pleased that they could continue their 'friendship' on the set of The Take.
And i agree with you; Charlotte is much more then just 'the fiancee of…' She's an excellent actress!

  3. To be honest, if Charlotte Riley was in the headline of the article I wouldn't have cared to read it since I don't know who she is other than Tom Hardy's fiancee. There has to be some hook in the title.

  4. Charlotte and Tom met on set of Wuthering Heights and re-joined doing The Take together, not the other way 'round. Also I agree with Cate, Charlotte has a name and it's not "fianceé of XY" -.- Quality online journalism, yeah? Not so much.

  5. Her name is Charlotte Riley, not "Tom Hardy's Fiancée". If you're going to write a piece about her casting, you might want to put her actual name in the title of the piece instead of leaving it only to the body of the article.
