Tom Ford has been doing his best to keep the details of his upcoming movie under wraps, but with plans to shoot this fall, he could only keep it completely under lock and key for so long. Today we have a title, plot details, and more about his followup to "A Single Man."
Titled "Nocturnal Animals," the film is an adaptation of the book "Tony and Susan" by Austin Wright. The novel boasts an interesting narrative twist, which finds the main character reading the manuscript for a thriller that becomes part of the main plot thread. Here’s the synopsis:
Previously, Ford teased that he’ll actually make two movies based on the book — one that is faithful to the source material, and one that isn’t. We wonder if that’s just his way of dancing around the meta-structure of the novel itself. Either way, we’re excited, and while things are still in the early stages, we hope it comes together fast. LOL Touché. It\’s funny though, I have seen numerous errors on this site but they seem to be on this particular writer\’s articles. The Wachowski thing wasn\’t even a grammatical error though.
Bad grammar on the internet may be as common as cat videos but, unlike cat videos, it\’s still annoying to see. Especially from a "news" source.
This is Internet 2.0, Reggie. Grammatical errors can easily be corrected after the fact. And I doubt Indiewire has money for copy editors.
You must be new here, Reggie. The Playlist Blog is known for it\’s horrible grammar and punctuation/apparent lack of a proper editor.
I don\’t know if it\’s just a rush to get your articles out but there seem to be constant grammamtical and syntax errors in far too many of your articles, man
"Previously, Ford has teased he\’ll actually be making two movies based –" Based what? If there aren\’t editors at Indiewire please take some time out to read over your work, homes. I saw another comment about the Scorese Macbeth article that I guess was corrected. Then there was the issue last month or so regarding referring to the Wachowski "siblings" as the Wachowski brothers despite the fact tha Larry has been Lana for years now.
Just take your foot off the gas a bit and read your work. Before hitting "send."
