I’m going to go out on a limb here, and opine that in “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back,” Jack Reacher goes back. And in doing so, he places himself into all kinds of danger, but it’s only those who dare to try and take him down that have something to worry about. For those familiar with Lee Child‘s books on which this series is based, that’s pretty much the name of the game, but Tom Cruise brings his own particular brand of stardom to the role.
This time around, Reacher faces his military past when he learns of a conspiracy that swirls around a woman in his former job. So Reacher does whatever is necessary to right that wrong, which basically means cracking skulls, breaking limbs, and maiming. Here’s the official synopsis:
Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) returns with his particular brand of justice in the highly anticipated sequel JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK. When Army Major Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), who heads Reacher’s old investigative unit, is arrested for Treason, Reacher will stop at nothing to prove her innocence and to uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy involving soldiers who are being killed. Based upon JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, author Lee Child’s 18th novel in the best-selling Jack Reacher series, that has seen 100 million books sold worldwide.
“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” opens on October 21st.
Each line in this trailer is more ludicrous than the next. Remember when Tom Cruise made decent films?
Yes, like last year ?
