Harmony Korine hasn’t yet moved forward on his next feature following "Spring Breakers" (though he did make a Dior ad), however one of the projects he has brewing now has an official title. Way back in the spring of 2013, it was reported that the filmmaker was working on a few projects, including a southern crime family movie produced by John Lesher, who also has his name on Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s "Birdman." Not much has really been heard about the movie since, but it looks like it at least now it has a title, according to the press notes of "Birdman" anyway. Read on:

So yes, it’s called "The Trap" but the movie will actually shoot next year, according to Korine. "Well actually, it’s all done! The script is written," he told Bullett Media earlier this month. "I’m putting the cast together right now, it’s going to be my most ambitious film, and I’m really just going to go for it. It’s some next level shit. It’s a revenge movie, a sprawling, very intense… I don’t want to give away too much, but we’re probably going to start shooting in Miami after the New Year. I’m goin’ for it.
He didn’t confirm whether or not Robert Pattinson is involved, but it looks like the Southern gothic and gangster movie are one in the same. So for now, just a little micro bit of new information, but hopefully it’s not long before we’re hearing much more about it.

I think what you heard was that Selena had lunch with Harmony one day. Not unusual for an actress and director. From that one lunch, someone made up a rumor about them working together again. That\’s the extent of it. There isn\’t even a real rumor, it\’s all total conjecture based on a pic of them coming out from a lunch. But she was good in Spring Breakers, so if he did ever want to cast her in something again, so what? She\’s been acting for years, I don\’t see a problem.

Funny Carl, you seem to be the only one who\’s heard a rumor about Selena. Her dance card seems pretty full for Jan./Feb., so I doubt she will be involved with this film at all.
