Case in point about the hyper-stylized and OCD-nature of Rian Johnson’s “The Brothers Bloom.” During the Q&A after the film (which we only seemed to capture half of even though we thought we shot the whole thing), an audience member asked the actors if any sections of the film was improvised which Mark Ruffalo cracked, “yeah about 2/3rd’s of it,” which was a total joke. He then spelled it out for those that didn’t get it: there’s no way you can improvise in a film that’s this precisely (stiffly) orchestrated. Everything must be done to a T. Apologies if our camera work falls off at times. We were doing double duty with one hand taking pictures and one hand shooting video. If only we had a prehensile tail. Thanks to the Canadian ladies that saved us a spot in line, now we won’t have to see this on Thursday so they’ll be no excuse to show up late to ‘Che.’
