The Toronto International Film Festival has revealed the rest of their main slate this morning, and they are not messing around this year. Organizers have an extraordinary lineup on their hands, and they scored some big surprises we didn’t see coming.
Leading the pack is “I Love You, Daddy” a new film by Louis C.K. that quietly shot this summer, and was turned around in time for the fest. Chloe Grace Moretz, Charlie Day, John Malkovich, Edie Falco and Pamela Adlon star in the movie which follows Glen Topher, played by Louis C.K., a successful television producer and writer, and his daughter China (played by Moretz).’
Meanwhile, Brie Larson‘s directorial debut “Unicorn Store” in which she also stars with Samuel L. Jackson, and Joan Cusack, in the comedy about a woman who moves back in with her parents, but gets invited to the titular store where she learns what it means to grow up.
Other highlights include: “Mark Felt – The Man Who Brought Down The White House” starring Liam Neeson; the “Papillon” remake starring Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek; Aaron Sorkin‘s “Molly’s Game” starring Jessica Chastain; “On Chesil Beach” starring Saoirse Ronan; and TV fare including “The Deuce” and “The Girlfriend Experience” season two.
TIFF runs from September 7-17.
