‘The Suicide Squad’ Trailer: James Gunn’s Beautifully Twisted Mind Begins A New Chapter For The DC Universe

Lots of new info dropping about James Gunn‘s “The Suicide Squad” on the day of this new trailer release. The movie is officially 132 minutes long; he’s confirmed the movie has a post-credits scene and revealed that he spoke to Kevin Feige casually about a game-changing crossover.

“I’ve casually talked to the powers-that-be at both Marvel & DC about it,” Gunn said on Twitter. “I would love for it to happen. I don’t think it’s likely, but I don’t think it’s an impossibility either. That said, just constantly seeing crossovers & mashups is less enchanting to me than a strong story.

I wouldn’t consider that a likely event either, but dare to dream, right? Additionally, actor John Cena gave threw fans for a tiny loop recently with his comments to The Observer in a recent interview. “The Suicide Squad is neither a sequel nor reboot. The Suicide Squad is the Suicide Squad from the brain of one of the most amazingly twisted creative minds in James Gunn that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.”

Considering the movie was sold as a kind of soft reboot — some characters are totally gone, some are back, and a few are kind of reenvisioned — this comment will keep audiences on its toes for Gunn’s first DCEU entry.
