11 years after the film adaptation of Michael Connelly’s 2005 crime novel, “The Lincoln Lawyer,” the first in a series of novels featuring the roving lawyer, Mickey Haller has found a new home on Netflix. Matthew McConaughey, who took the reigns in the titular role in 2011, will be passing the baton down to “The Magnificent Seven” star, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, also known for his role in another series incarnation of a feature film, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series”.
The series, based on Connelly’s second novel in “The Lincoln Lawyer” series, “The Brass Verdict,” will also star Neve Campbell, her performance in “The Lincoln Lawyer” sandwiched between 2 entries into the “Scream” franchise. A 6th installment due in 2023 is currently in production after 2022s well-received ‘requel’. Here’s the official synopsis for the 10 part series;

Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the first season is based on the second book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, “The Brass Verdict.”
Alongside Garcia-Rulfo and Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Christopher Gorham complete the main cast, while Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, LisaGay Hamilton, Jamie McShane, Reggie Lee, and Krista Warner also feature in recurring roles.
