Got a Tip?

‘The Last Airbender’ & ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ Lead The Razzie Nominees

Bad 3D Gets A Special Category This Year

With the Oscar nominations set to be announced tomorrow morning, capping off a busy awards season, the good folks over at the Razzie Awards have served up their picks of the very worst that 2010 had to offer.

It’s hardly a shock that M. Night Shyamalan‘s turgid “The Last Airbender” and the second installment of the vampire love story “Twlight: Eclipse” lead the pack for 2010, as both films were hardly critical favorites. Both pictures walk away with eight nominations in most of the major categories with Jackson Rathbone having the dubious honor of earning Worst Supporting Actor for both films. Ouch. Speaking of hurt, Jessica Alba picks up a Worst Supporting Actress nomination for pretty much every film she was in this year (“Little Fockers,” “Machete,” “The Killer Inside Me,” “Valentine’s Day“) while most hilariously, Josh Brolin’s face & Megan Fox’s accent picked up a Worst Onscreen Couple nod for “Jonah Hex.” Finally, in a specially created category for this year, five films compete for Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-use Of 3D including “Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore,” “Clash Of The Titans,” “The Last Airbender,” “Nutcracker 3D” and “Saw 3D.”

The “winners” will be announced one day before the Oscars on February 26th. Full nominees below. [Deadline]

  1. I like the idea of the Razzies, sort of, but why do I feel like they are run by 14-year-old boys. I mean, both the latest Twilight flick and a Twilight parody picked up multiple noms? Surely there were far more deserving awful films out last year?
