Do people even remember “The Hardy Boys” books? I mean, I know they’re still being published and generations of readers grew up reading the adventures of the brothers that investigate all sorts of craziness in their town, but does anyone who currently scrolls through TikTok for hours on end have any affection for “The Hardy Boys?” Well, Hulu sure hopes so.
As seen in the new trailer for “The Hardy Boys,” Hulu is taking a page out of the recent hit teen thriller series that populate streaming services and The CW and has made a new TV based on the iconic book series that began nearly 100 years ago. Much like the books, the series follows the adventures of Frank and Joe, two brothers that move to a new town with their dad and find out that there are secrets buried under the seemingly happy small-town facade.
The group of peppy do-gooders even have their own “Avengers: Endgame”/“Whatever it takes…” moment when they all come together to fight evil. Though, no shade on the actress who gives the line, but she doesn’t quite match up to Captain America. That being said, maybe “The Hardy Boys” will feature some time-travel/Thanos-fighitng shenanigans. Okay, probably not. But if you’re into CW shows and/or Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Stranger Things,” this series looks like it’ll be right up your alley.
