It may not be Christmas anymore, but Warner Bros. is here with a gift for superhero film fans, as the studio has dropped the latest trailer for “The Batman.” And this time, the focus is on the relationship between The Cat and The Bat.
As seen in the trailer, Robert Pattinson’s Batman isn’t nearly the only major character in the upcoming Matt Reeves film, “The Batman.” The film also features a large role for Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. And as Batman says in the trailer, it’s unclear just where Catwoman’s trust lies. Is she really there to assist the Bat or is she after her own nefarious goals? We’ll find out.
As mentioned, the film features a great cast led by Pattinson alongside Kravitz. They’re joined by Paul Dano’s The Riddler, Colin Farrell’s The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright’s Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis’ Alfred Pennyworth. The film is directed by Reeves and serves as a new take on the Batman character in a new world. And this trailer reinforces the idea that the filmmaker is going for a very dark version of Batman, rivaling that of Christopher Nolans’ “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
