It’s finally going to be over.
We can’t believe there’s already been six of them, but the seventh entry in the long-running “Saw” franchise, “Saw 3D,” has been confirmed as being the last one by producer Oren Koules. In a piece in USA Today (via Bleeding Cool) it has been revealed that the final installment will feature 11 traps, “answers all the questions” and “comes full circle” and apparently has been submitted to the MPAA six times with different edits and cuts in order to avoid the dreaded NC-17 rating.
We’re just glad the question of “when is this series going to stop arriving every year” has finally been answered, but Tobin Bell and the producers will presumably reveal more tidibts when they talk shop at Comic-Con tomorrow. Also, the first teaser trailer for the film has arrived and it looks pretty much like every past film with elaborate traps with potentially gruesome finishes and the Jigsaw Killer calmly explaining that the previous films were all just part of a grand master plan that apparently included killing a lot of people and wasting a lot of time. Yep, that’s the poster for the film and you can check out stills here.
