Before this drama, Russell was all set to create a huge and expensive series for Amazon starring Robert DeNiro and Julianne Moore. Amazon made a pricey $160 million bet on the series, but it folded because of its connection to producer Harvey Weinstein—most studios immediately cut ties to his projects in the aftermath of #MeToo in 2017.

20th Century Studios are releasing the untitled David O. Russell film, but no date has been set as of yet.
