YOU GUYS. Just over two weeks until Edward, Bella, bad CGI, wooden line readings and more reunite for the final movie in the "Twilight" franchise. ZOMG. And with the cast starting to do the press rounds, they are moistening expectations for Twihards who have booked off work to say a final goodbye to their beloved Cullens.
Taylor Lautner stopped by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" last night to talk about the movie, and those looking for slavish dedication to the books might be a touch disappointed. "[T]here's a twist, because the ending — I don't wanna give anything away — is a little different from maybe, what was in the book," Leno teased first, making us wonder if he actually did read the books or if one his staff just told him that. Lautner didn't quite take the bait, and stayed as secretive as he could.
"You know, there's a very thin line because the fans would freak on us if we changed anything too much…I can confirm there is a twist and I can confirm everybody can find out what it is on Nov. 16," he said in a nice little PR pivot. Well played!
Could this be the extra credits scene Kellan Lutz was talking about a couple of months ago? A door left open to the inevitable spin-off or sequels that keep being rumored? Summit execs just yelling "SUCKERS!" while bathing in a swimming pool full of money? You'll probably find out soon enough. [The Wrap]
