Got a Tip?

Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Bullet To The Head’ To Make World Premiere At The Rome Film Festival

nullHow to you get someone to show up to your event? Give them an award. And in the case of the Rome Film Festival, you get a world premiere out of it too. While it may not be a high profile title like the rumored "Django Unchained," for those in Italy looking for a side order of kick ass along with their heady festival stew, Walter Hill has just what you're looking for.

The helmer will be honored with Maverick Director Award at the festival on November 14th, with his latest "Bullet To The Head" to make its world premiere right after. And while it might not be the most prestigious movie to have unveiled, Hill is no less a legend for it. As a man whose credits as director, producer and writer have touched movies like "The Warriors," "48 Hrs.," "Alien," "The Getaway" and more, he has indeed left a mark on the industry and is now at the age where people start throwing lifetime achievement awards at you.

As for "Bullet To The Head"? The Rome Film Festival is probably a better stage than the movie deserves, with Sylvester Stallone leading the generic sounding thriller as a hitman who teams with a cop (Sung Kang) to find the man that killed their partners (Jason Momoa). And oh yeah, Christian Slater is in this too. Maybe we're underestimating it? Guess we'll find out when it hits theaters on February 1, 2013.
