Summer Movie Photos: ‘Jason Bourne,’ ‘Café Society,’ ‘The BFG,’ ‘Star Trek Beyond,’ ‘Ghostbusters,’ And More

Jason BourneCinemas are getting ready to make the popcorn extra buttery, and the sodas a little bit colder, as the summer movie season rolls in. And that means lots of blockbusters, but also some indie faves, and low-key thrillers to give you plenty of options in your nearest air-conditioned movie house where you can beat the heat.

On the spectacle side of things, "Jason Bourne" is back to kick more butt, "Ghostbusters" gets a reboot, "Star Trek Beyond" goes…beyond, Steven Spielberg weaves his magic with "The BFG" and Disney reboots "Pete’s Dragon." Meanwhile, Blake Lively tries to survive in open water in "The Shallows," while Woody Allen‘s latest, "Café Society," will head to theaters in August courtesy of Lionsgate, before hitting Amazon.

  1. @Doris – It is enchanting because it is on the screen and it is JASON BOURNE Doris. And I think you over GROSSLY oversimplifying America\’s gun problem holy cow. I suppose you also think that young girls dress provocatively solely becuase of music videos too eh? Anyways Doris, I don\’t want to argue with you. but I IMPLROE you to see the first Bourne movie, and if you don\’t like it…well, you can shoot me if you can find me.

  2. bourne is perfectly entertaining. it\’s interesting that he\’s a character that offs his foes with unsual weapons, books and pens etc. whereas an image of him wielding a gun looks a bit lame. men with guns just look incredibly dated nowadays, and slightly uncomfortable. and yes it\’s all linked to gun culture in the US, let\’s be honest.
