Let’s hope our 2018 Best Original Song Oscar Predictions are correct because if there any justice in this world, Sufjan Stevens will be at the ceremonies in March. The singer/songwriter delivered two new gems for the heart-smashing “Call Me By Your Name,” and they are both worthy of a nomination. But if it has to go to one song, “Mystery Of Love” should get the nod. And it seems like Sufjan is getting his campaign rolling early — even if the nomination hasn’t formally arrived.

The artist has dropped a gorgeous video for “Mystery Of Love,” which keeps the concept simple, mixing beautiful footage from the film with the song. Warning, there are spoilers (kind of) in the video. Not so much like finding out Darth Vader is Luke’s father, but the kind of things you’ll want to experience in the first time at the movies.
It’s lovely stuff, and even if you’ve seen the movie already a couple times (like me), you won’t mind another visit with Oliver and Elio. “Call Me By Your Name” is now playing in limited release, the soundtrack is currently available on digital, and hits vinyl on January 12th. [Paste]
