It’s been nearly a decade since Bryan Bertino broke out with “The Strangers,” and genre fans found a new cult favorite. It has been just as long that a sequel has been brewing, but it’s finally arriving next year, and it looks like, instead of a direct continuation, it’s leaning a bit more toward a reboot.
Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, Lewis Pullman, Martin Henderson, Emma Bellomy, Lea Enslin, and Damian Maffei star in “Strangers: Prey At Night,” which sees terror descend upon a family who stumbles upon a deserted trailer park. Yeah, that doesn’t sound like it will turn out well. Here’s the official synopsis:
A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
Directed by Johannes Roberts (“47 Meters Down“), “Strangers: Prey At Night” opens on March 9, 2018.
