– The Flaming Lips are not only holding to their promise this time, they’re actually getting there early for once. The band with the terrible track record, where their movie is concerned, had previously said they’d hope to have the long-overdue “Christmas On Mars” ready for DVD by Christmas. Now the disc is coming out in October, though no specific street date has been reported yet. The official and new trailer is out as well. As previously reported the DVD will also include the original score material they wrote for the film that includes appearances by Adam Goldberg, Modest Mouse’s Issac Brock and Elijah Wood among the Lips themselves and others. The rapper is making his debut in India this summer via a guest appearance on the title track of a highly anticipated Bollywood movie, “Singh Is Kinng.” The movie doesn’t open til August, but the track is already a hit on some radio stations in India.
