Got a Tip?

Simon Pegg Says He’s “Circling” A Project That Would Reteam Him With Edgar Wright

While Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg have fully branched out to have amazing careers on their own, most film fans discovered them as filmmaking cohorts on features such as “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz.” Over the years since the release of 2013’s “The World’s End,” the two men haven’t really been able to find the time to work together again. But that might be changing.

Speaking to Comicbook.com, Simon Pegg talked about his relationship with Edgar Wright and how the duo might be working together again sometime in the future.

“With Edgar and I, we have to just get our schedules in order so that we can write together again,” Pegg said. “We’re talking about stuff, there’s been ideas thrown around and we’re circling something. But obviously, he’s really busy, I’m really busy. It’s not like the old days when we were just trying to get seen and we had all that time. Now things are a little more complicated. But there’s room in my heart for all that stuff and I obviously want to work Edgar and Nick [Frost] again because they’re my mates and it means we get to hang out more.”

As mentioned, it’s been nearly a decade since “The World’s End” was released and ended what the filmmaker calls his Cornetto Trilogy. And over that time, Wright has gone on to make films such as “Baby Driver” and last year’s “Last Night in Soho.” Pegg has gone on to star in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, as well as a variety of other films and TV shows.

Whatever the duo has cooking, no matter the plot, will definitely excite fans. Some might argue that Pegg and Wright are never better than when they work together. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what is coming next.
