“Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan’s bat will be revealed in the first episode,” executive producer Greg Nicotero confirmed to EW about the start of the seventh season of AMC‘s smash hit, “The Walking Dead.” I watch the show, but even those who I do know that tune in, who may be dismayed at some of the plot turns the series has taken, admit they are still hooked on the undead.

The next batch of episodes will bring some new characters into the mix, including Ezekiel and Shiva from The Kingdom. Aside from that, the footage shows a lot of the zombie action fans expect, though the promo leads hard on flashbacks to kick things off. All this to say, at this point, you’re either with the show, or you’re not, and good thing for AMC, plenty are still in the former category.
