With the likes of Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven leading Mark Pellington’s John Cassavetes-inspired indie drama “I Melt With You” we always figured some estrogen would be added to the balance out the mix; we just didn’t think the choice would be so….interesting.
Porn star Sasha Grey along with along with Zander Eckhouse (“Huge”), Abhi Sinha (“The Social Network”) and Arielle Kebbel (“Red Mist”) have joined the film about “a group of college buddies (Jane, Lowe and Piven) who, now as adults, look within themselves and find emptiness when they have their annual summer reunion. They resurrect a pact they vowed to live, die and kill by.”
Grey, who non-porn watching filmgoers might know as the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience,” will play Raven, “a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death.” Eckhouse is tasked with the enviable role of playing Grey’s boyfriend, while Sinha will play a medical student, and Kebbel a young hostess.
“I Melt With You” starts filming next month in northern California.

It would be interesting to know if a woman who openly has sex for money, uses the "casting couch" to get roles in films (for which she ultimately will be paid money- way more than porn money including SAG benefits).
Considering the total budget for the film is less than $1 million she's probably not getting paid much.
