Got a Tip?

Sandra Bullock Offered Role In Holocaust Insurance Drama ‘Never Forget’

Following her box-office smashing, Academy Award winning 2009, Sandra Bullock is being very careful before choosing her next project. She’s already turned down roles in Peter Hedges’ “The Odd Life Of Timothy Green” (the project now has Jennifer Garner attached) and “Wild Life” (aka “Elephant Orphanage”; last we heard, Julia Roberts was in talks with Walter Salles directing). She’s also been linked as one of the candidates for Alfonso Cuaron’s “Gravity,” has a potential re-team with Ryan Reynolds in “Most Wanted.” And, on top of all of this, she’s currently in negotiations to join Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close” with Tom Hanks also linked. Needless to say, her agent is very busy.

Well, one more film is now crossing her plate in the shape of “Never Forget,” a feature film that is loosely based on the little seen 2006 documentary by Robby Kushner, “On Moral Grounds.” The film will tell the story of “one woman’s quest to reimburse Holocaust survivors who were swindled out of their heir’s insurance policies by a European insurance company.” You can practically smell another Oscar nomination. The project is set up at Screen Gems who have made the offer to Bullock for the lead role. No word yet on a director.

It’s clear that Bullock is taking her time before making her next and it’s easy to see why. “The Blind Side” win launched her right into the top tier of actresses and she will want to carefully maintain that momentum. [EW]
