Even though we’ve already laid out our 20 Most Anticipated TV Shows Of 2015, there is one big reason we’ve already got an eye on 2016: "Twin Peaks." The new nine-episode series will have David Lynch behind it for the entire run, and while plot details are still under wraps, all we do know is that the show will be set in the present day, pick up after the events of the original series, and oh yeah, Kyle MacLachlan is back. And it appears he won’t be the only old school cast member returning.
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that both Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee are coming back for more coffee. Their rumored additions are interesting because their characters — Audrey Horne, Laura Palmer, and Maddy Ferguson — are all (presumably) dead. Have they been resurrected? Maybe they’re ghosts? Flashbacks? Flashforwards? Guess we’ll just have to see what Lynch is going to do to bend our brains around their return.
Granted, it’s not official, but it seems a likely scenario. What do you think? Does Lynch need to push past the old characters, or are you curious about how he’s bringing them back?
Sherlock Lee?
Laura and Maddy are in the Black Lodge. Anybody could show up there. The real Cooper may still be in there as well.
Hopefully we hear about the return of Shelly and Lucy. Maybe also Harry and Annie.
Also RIP Pete.
Lynch said that they had plans to bring back Sherlock Lee as a new character that was going to be a red head so maybe they\’re planning that here (she was already blond as Laura Palmer and brunette as Maddy). Really interested to see where they go with the story, the finale was definitely one of the most upsetting endings to a show I\’ve ever seen and I\’m wondering if we\’re going to see a Bob/Cooper character the whole show or does he get out of the weird possession thing?
Yeah, Audrey didn\’t die.
Oops, I meant Sheryl Lee.
I think Audrey\’s fate was in question at the end of season two and I believe in interviews in past years, she said Audrey didn\’t die. Sherilyn Fenn, on the other hand…
