While many families only have turkey over Thanksgiving, in Hollywood, they crank ’em out all year along. With the holiday season in mind, Forbes has crunched the numbers to determine which movies in 2015 came out of the box office severely undercooked.

Only focusing on films that opened in more than 2000 theaters, utilizing data from Box Office Mojo, and not counting films that opened in November (or December, obvs), the finance mag has determined that Bill Murray‘s "Rock The Kasbah" was the biggest flop of the year, earning only $2.9 million worldwide on a budget of $15 million (marking a 17% return). There are no big surprises elsewhere on the list, with some of the year’s worst reviewed movies not so surprisingly also making the cut.
Check out the full list below and hit Forbes for all the stats.
Least Profitable Films Of 2015
1. Rock The Kasbah
2. The Gunman
3. Blackhat
4. Unfinished Business
5. Jem & The Holograms
6. Self/Less
7. American Ultra
8. We Are Your Friends
9. Aloha
10. Mortdecai
American Ultra belongs on this list (and Kristen Stewart is box office poison), and I imagine Victor Frankenstein could be added to it. Max Landis is a no-talent hack who would be nowhere without his father\’s last name. Any studio/producer who buys a script from him should be fired. It\’s not only a waste of money, it\’s offensive. He\’s a huge jerk, all you have to do is read any of his interviews if you had any doubt. Stop enabling this hack. Bill Murray is not responsible for RTC, and he was Oscar-worthy in St. Vincent, so don\’t write him off just yet. Chris Hemsworth can\’t act and Blackhat is a good example of that.
Fine if you think Guillermo Del Toro makes "fanboy crap", but he is not box office poison. Only his first two films didn\’t make their money back at the box office, although I\’m sure they did by now with dvd purchases, etc.
How it\’s possible Guillermo del Toro is still working? His films are fanboy crap and he\’s box office poison.
Bill Murray sucks now. He rather do crappy films of his own doing then of come back as a ghostbusters. Now we have wrong looking ghostbusters.
This is an odd way to measure a flop… Surely something like PAN, which will lose well over a hundred million dollars is a bigger flop than ROCK THE KASBAH? Sure, it made back a larger percentage of its production budget, but it was a much, much, much bigger flop.
