‘Roaring 20’s’ Exclusive Tribeca Trailer: Elisabeth Vogler Captures Modern Paris In This One-Shot Feature

Since the pandemic began last year, we’ve seen a number of filmmakers take creative swings as they attempt to keep making films during a time when you really can’t do much of anything, let alone have a full-blown film set. “Roaring 20’s” is set to make its debut at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, and in honor of that premiere, we’re excited to give our readers an exclusive look at the first trailer for the new feature. As seen in the trailer, “Roaring 20’s” is a film that takes place during the summer of 2020, when people in Paris are still trying to figure out this new way of life during a pandemic, while also trying to discuss and dissect the various other things that are happening in their lives. But the most interesting aspect of this feature is the way “Roaring 20’s” was crafted, as the feature is done as one shot through many different neighborhoods over the course of an afternoon in Paris.

Here’s the synopsis:

On one beautiful afternoon in Paris during the surreal summer of 2020, 24 different characters roam the streets of the city with a sense of giddy abandon after a spring of lockdown and confinement. Creatively and meticulously choreographed by director Elisabeth Vogler, and shot in one continuous take through many neighborhoods, ROARING 20’S is a Slacker for our new decade; a series of local vignettes that help bring to full life a dynamic city and its young people who can find joy even in crisis. Filming began one day after the lockdown ended, allowing the audience to accompany everyday people as they cross paths throughout the day, experiencing their long-awaited freedom and celebrating the City of Love.
