Some couples watch Netflix on the couch. Others go out to fancy restaurants. There are even some partners that actually don’t even hang out much at all. But in Rian Johnson’s new music video for LCD Soundsystem’s song “oh baby,” we meet a couple that works on complicated equations and figures out teleportation instead of binge-watching the Netflix’s “Maniac.” But hey, to each their own, right?
Story aside, there’s a lot of interesting things going on with the new music video that recently premiered on TIDAL but is now free to for anyone to view on YouTube. In a series of tweets, Johnson talks about a few little Easter Eggs that might make film fans extra excited to watch the new music video.

First, the question on everyone’s mind — what’s the name of the chicken? Don’t worry, we have your answer, and it’s amazing. The chicken that teleports from “here” to “there” is none other than Garlic The Chicken.
Perhaps the most interesting tidbit that Johnson shared is that the farm that they shot most of the video was used in another famous production. He tweeted, “We shot it mostly up at a farm north of Santa Clarita. FUN FACT that made me feel startruck: the house we used was the SAME ONE that Lynch shot this scene from the new ‘Twin Peaks’ in (!!!!) Lots of ‘gotta light’ jokes on set.”
Also of note, especially if you’re curious how long music videos take to shoot, Johnson says, “We shot the whole thing in two days, with a big location move, and you can’t do that without a great AD. May I recommend Julia Zsolnay for all your achieving-the-impossible needs.”
And for those that think that Rian Johnson is all “Big Time Hollywood Director Guy” since he helmed “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” the director shares a behind-the-scenes secret that shows he still knows how to do things DIY. “I cut it at home on my imac pro, first time I’ve totally edited something on my own since (I think) ‘Brick.’ Steve did all the color correction and fx on his laptop. Homegrown!” said Johnson.
