Even without color, these shots seem to match the movie’s disquieting tones of marital strife and disolution. But man, have you seen the trailer? Just based on that we’re pretty positive Roger Deakins is going to nab himself another Best Cinematography Oscar nod. The work he does with whites and grays in that trailer is astonishing. “Revolutionary Road” comes out December 26 and is likely going to be one of the Oscar-bait frontrunners and nab itself a number of nominations. Probably even over five. That is unless it’s overrated and treacly, but right now everyone is looking at this one to be the big one out of the gate.
