You’re going to have a few flavors of spectacle to choose from over the Christmas holidays. You can roll with J.J. Abrams‘ hugely anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," go for the gritty realism Alejandro G. Iñárritu‘s "The Revenant," or have the old school, 70mm experience of Quentin Tarantino‘s "The Hateful Eight" (if you’re lucky enough to live in one of the cities retrofitted with projects to handle the format). But to give you a little taste, Tarantino has penned a little comic prologue.
The eight page preview, illustrated by Zach Meyer, is essentially the opening scenes of the movie, and centers around a wintry meeting between John Ruth (Kurt Russell), Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), and outlaw Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh). And it doesn’t take long for the stakes to get raised.
"The Hateful Eight" opens on Christmas Day. Read on below. [Playboy]
