Every year, we sadly lose beloved figures in the film world, but 2014 seemed to be especially cruel in that regard. From legendary figures to talents we lost way too soon, the past twelve months saw the movies get a little less bright without their presence. And with the New Year upon us, there’s no better time to honor their passing.
JoBlo has put together a six-minute reel paying tribute to those that left us over the year. And again, it has been a tough one in 2014 with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Lauren Bacall, Bob Hoskins, Harold Ramis, Mickey Rooney, James Garner, H.R. Giger, Robin Williams and more among some of the legends who passed away. So before you look ahead to 2015, take a moment to consider the legacy of those in the video below.
I\’ve said it before, but 2014 was such a shit year, especially when it came to such an immense wave of lost talent. I still don\’t know which death took me by surprise the most. I was going to say Robin Williams, but the surprise and sense of shock I had was on par when I\’d learned of Ramis, Hoskins and Hoffman. You just can\’t prepare for this sort of news.
