Got a Tip?

Prepare Your Eyes & Ears: Katy Perry Teaming With Paramount For A 3D Concert Movie

nullWho the fuck listens to Katy Perry? We sure don't, but clearly a lot of you do, as the pop singer nabbed her sixth number one single for "The One That Got Away" off her album Teenage Dream released in the summer of 2010. Whoever the team is at Capitol Records behind this girl, give them a raise: talk about getting major mileage out of the most disposable music ever. But wait — there's even more coming.

THR reports that Perry and Paramount are chatting about tag-teaming with Imagine Entertainment for a 3D concert movie. It's really a no-brainer. Paramount scored big with another disposable pop singer when they raked in $73 million thanks to "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" — the highest grossing concert movie domestically of all time. And clearly, there is a huge audience of people that love bad music and every glossy, candy-colored, body hugging, cleavage baring thing Perry does. Deadline adds that the film has already been shot by Nanette Burnstein ("American Teen," "Going The Distance").

But, really, whoever is helming probably isn't overly important. It's going to be Perry front and center and it's going to be very…bright. [THR]
