Adjust Your Tracking returns and opens this episode with a reminder to you dear listeners that “Green Room,” the film we talked about on our last episode, is now in wider release. There’s no excuse, go see it at a theater near you! (And after you see it, give a spin to my podcast interview with director Jeremy Saulnier and star Anton Yelchin.)
The bulk of the show sees myself and co-host Joe von Appen contend with our mutual disappointment having seen “Keanu,” the first big film from Key & Peele after they ended their often-brilliant sketch show on Comedy Central. While the movie rinsed off almost immediately, we still find plenty to chew on in the discussion, some of which diverges into a look at other exciting forms of sketches, videos and short films online that, even in their relative smallness, belong much more on a big screen than “Keanu.” And there’s our latest edition of HOLD UP, where we look back at a film one of us likes but we’re not sure how it looks now. “Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves” gets the treatment, and it’s not pretty, folks.
All shows and their episodes are brought to you by The Playlist and can be found on iTunes, Soundcloud and YouTube. You can stream or download the podcast via the Soundcloud link above or subscribe on iTunes to get them on the regular. Thanks for listening!
