Got a Tip?

Owen Wilson & Woody Harrelson Voice ‘Turkeys’; Chris Evans Battles Healthcare & Jason Statham’s ‘The Mechanic’ Gets A Trailer

Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson and his cellphone plan hustling brother Luke are set to lend their voices to the animated film “Turkeys.” The film is about two turkeys who time travel to the first Thanksgiving in order to stop their species from becoming part of the menu. The film was written by John J. Strauss (“There’s Something About Mary”) and will be directed by Ash Brannon (“Toy Story 2,” “Surf’s Up”).

Katherine Heigl has succeeded in pissing off the producers of “Grey’s Anatomy” enough that its widely expected that it will be her last season the “E.R.”-lite show. The LA Times runs down her laundry list of potential feature film roles, none of which sound particularly compelling. Ready or not America, here comes more Heigl that you probably ever asked for.

Chris Evans has joined the healthcare drama “Puncture.” In the film, he will play “a troubled young attorney who must come to terms with his own demons when taking on a healthcare giant.” Jesse L. Martin and Vinessa Shaw are the other notable names in the cast. The film will be directed by the Kassen Brothers and is set to start shooting in Houston soon which will allow Evans to keep his options open for the leading man role in “Captain America.”

The internet received a slight boost of testosterone as new posters for “The A-Team” (pictured above) and “The Expendables” (pictured right) landed online. They’re pretty much what you might expect featuring dudes standing around looking cool and guns. Lots and lots and lots of guns.

Gregory Smith (“Everwood”) has joined Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz in Jim Sheridan’s psychological thriller “Dream House.” The film concerns a publisher who relocates his family to a quaint New England town only to discover their house saw its previous inhabitants brutally murdered. Shooting is currently underway in Toronto.

Speaking of testosterone, the trailer for the latest Jason Statham vehicle, “The Mechanic” has landed. A remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson film, the story follows an experienced hitman who takes an apprentice under this wing. It looks like an amalgam of every movie Statham has done to date and we really hate to see Ben Foster slumming it in something like this, but maybe he’ll make the movie at least watchable. The film hits theaters on December 15th.
